Founder & CEOERNIE KAHLEN
Ernie began his real estate career in Scotland in 1996, gaining experience across technical aspects & marketing roles, before becoming a residential valuer at just 20. After a dozen years with Scotland’s leading independent agency, he returned to his birthplace, Berlin.
Since 2008, Ernie has been deeply rooted in the Berlin property market — from acquisitions and project development to establishing sales teams and representing multi national investment funds as trusted procurist. With over 25 years of international experience, he founded The Property Connection in 2020 to build a client-focused, forward thinking real estate agency grounded in trust, ethics, and professionalism. His goal is simple: to make every transaction clear, efficient, and in his clients’ best interest.
FounderGEORGE DARBISHIRE
George began his career at Strutt & Parker in Notting Hill, one of London’s most prestigious real estate firms. Starting as a lettings negotiator, he quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a team manager by the age of 25. His early years in the competitive markets of Notting Hill and Kensington gave him a solid foundation in residential sales, lettings, as well as client service at the highest level.
In 2013, George brought his expertise to Berlin, where he co-founded The Property Connection alongside Ernie Kahlen. Today, as well as being an established sales agent, with contacts across the local industry, he leads the rentals and property management division, offering a complete service for property investors — from lettings to long-term portfolio management.

Bettina began her career as an architect at TU Berlin, working in urban development and project management before moving into investment brokerage and luxury residential sales. With over 20 years of experience, she combines architectural expertise with strong sales skills to guide clients through every stage of a property transaction.
She has successfully marketed and sold premium apartments and developments across Berlin, representing investors, developers, and private clients. Known for her professionalism and client-focused approach, Bettina brings both strategic insight and hands-on expertise to ensure smooth processes and exceptional results. Fluent in multiple languages, she is well-positioned to serve Berlin’s international clientele.

Ben began his real estate career in New York City in 2015, co-founding Team VIA and working with private buyers, including individuals in the arts and business leadership. Now based in Berlin, he combines hands-on residential expertise with a strategic matchmaker role focused on deal origination across real estate and private assets. Known for sourcing off-market opportunities and handling situations that require discretion and creativity, Ben often serves as an intermediary between buyers, owners, and partners, where fit matters as much as the asset itself. His work spans residential acquisitions and select, value-driven opportunities, including larger and more complex assets, on a deal-by-deal basis.
An expat who has lived in New York, Los Angeles, London, and Berlin, he brings a global perspective, an international network, and deep familiarity with local market dynamics. Based in Wilmersdorf, he is valued for clarity, judgment, and a relationship-driven approach.

Born and raised in Warsaw, Piotr studied photography at the Academy of Photography and political science at the University of Warsaw. His career began in documentary and reportage photography before moving into architectural, interior, and commercial work, where he developed a strong eye for capturing spaces with clarity and precision.
Today, Piotr collaborates with real estate agencies, developers, and designers to showcase properties through compelling imagery. His clean compositions and attention to detail highlight both beauty and functionality, helping clients present their projects at the highest level. With a focus on storytelling, he brings each space to life and ensures every property is shown at its very best.
